Your wedding cake will most likely be the most expensive cake you will ever buy. No one wants it sat in a dark corner on a teeny cake table, with a fire extinguisher in the background. I want your cake to be the centrepiece of your big day, apart from yourselves of course! Styling, placement and presentation are a huge part of the overall experience when it comes to your wedding cake. If you are investing in a work of art, you need to display it as best as you can. Let's make a statement!
During your wedding journey, we will spend time discussing cake stands, table decor and where in the room your cake will be sat. Whether you have a stylist or are doing it yourself, I will work with you to create the most beautiful display for your wedding cake. I have an ever growing range of cake stands, props and decor available to hire, as well as working with the styling queen Sophie from The Little Details by Sophie, to give your cake the setting it deserves.
Step three..
As soon as your date is booked in my diary, we can start designing your cake! I will work with you to make sure your cake is absolutely perfect. Then once we finalised the design, I will begin creating your digital cake sketch. This will bring our ideas to life and help you to imagine how your cake will look on the big day. This will also be accompanied by the final price.
Step four..
Once the cake design and flavour is just what you imagined, we will discuss styling. What stand you would like, whether you would like a cake menu, what you would like around it or whether your cake is taking centre stage. There is no point in creating the cake of your dreams and for someone to just pop it in a corner, so I liaise with the other suppliers to arrange delivery and make sure your day runs smoothly.
Final step..
After everything has been confirmed, you will receive your wedding contract. This will outline everything we have discussed and will be the information that I will work from. And once the final balance has been paid, that's it! I will be working away behind the scenes, speaking to your florist, stylist and venue to get everything in place ready for your big day. All you will have to do is sit back and relax in anticipation of your wedding day! If you ever need me (even at 2am when prewedding nerves have set in!) I will be at the end of an email ready to answer any questions you may have.
The most important part of your wedding journey with me is of course getting your date booked. Dates get booked up very quickly, especially if it's a weekend.
